DeBarrel Plugin

DeBarrel is a new plugin that corrects for Barrel type or pin cushion type distortions that are present on all images, but noticeable to different extants. Projecting an image on to a flat film or sensor array by the lens creates the distortion.

These are corrected by specifying 3 parameters. On a perfect grid the following distortions were generated using this plugin in reverse.

I have added a test option, wherein for a range of coefficients the distorted grids are overlain on the reference frame, to enable finding the values of coefficients.

Perspective distortion is when you are shooting an object not from a squarely center position. Such distortion can be corrected by my Reform plugin. With a wide angle lens what you mostly see is a barrel type distortion. Please see the full writeup of the plugin. Test procedure to arrive at values of coefficients is given.
