DVDShrink analysing error

this has happened 3 times and i cant figure out whats going on.
  1. Used DVDdecrypter set to ISO Read to make the ISO on my HD
  2. Opened the ISO in DVDShrink and took out a couple of audio tracks. DVDShrink is set to full disk
  3. Pressed backup! and configured the burn, set it to burn with Nero after compression
  4. at 96% of the analysis i get the error "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Programming Error - Exception occurred"

i keep getting this same error wether i try to open from the disc or the ISO. any ideas? can some movies just not be copied? im using dvd shrink 3.2 and dvd decrypter 3.5. thanks for the help

It's not that some movies "just cannot be copied", it's that some movies cannot be properly copied with only DVD Decrypter (v.3.5.4) and/or DVD Shrink (such as those that have "ARccOS" or "RipGuard" copy protection).

What is the Title and Region of the problematic DVD?

That 2001 DVD release by Lion's Gate certainly should not have any additional copy protection (only your already noted CSS/CPPM and Macrovision).

1) Try playing your INITIAL .ISO image file with VLC. If it plays all the way through without error, then

2) Try playing your DVD Shrink-modified .ISO image file with VLC. Any playback problems?

3) Try playing the ORIGINAL, commercial DVD on your PC. Any playback problems?

Unless you have a SPECIFIC need to use .ISO-image format, try using DVD Decrypter to rip in "File Mode" (set to "All files", NOT just "movie files") and process accordingly with DVD Shrink...

before reading your reply i tried skipping the analysing process and got the whole movie into .vob files that VLC can play, got everything except the extras. as of right now im trying to rip in file mode.

Whats the process (or link to guide) of how to put the .vob files onto a dvd?

and not that it matters but i havnt seen one LGF logo on the dvd and the release says 2000.

You seem to indicate that you already have DVD Shrink set to automatically use NERO to burn. Therefore, there's nothing additional to be done. Once DVD Shrink has "done its thing regarding compression, etc., it should automatically start NERO...

You are absolutely correct in stating that (in this situation) it doesn't matter ;>}
