UYVY Problem

ok, where to start EH

i had a lot of problems whit my asus 7700 under XP, but i reinstall XP and detonator 23.11 and WDM 1.08, now i capture in 25fps/pal whitout frameloss.

but the problem i have now is that i only can use UYVY, and the quality realy suxx!, is there anyway to fix so i can use a 24bit format?? i use VirtualDub.

99% of all capture cards internally capture in a YUV 4:2:2 format like UYVY. I highly suspect your problem lies elsewhere. How exactly does the quality suck? What capture settings/codecs are you using?

ok!

ok, well, i have installed dual boot, win Xp and 98, and in 98 i can capture in 24bit, but in Xp only in 16bit, and the quality is much ībetter under 98. whitch i use 24rgb

well im a newbie at capture, if someone got and guide or somthing i will hug ya!

If you can get your board to work with VirtualDub or AVI_IO, there are guides on my site. Otherwise, you'll have to explain your current software setup and the settings you're trying to use.
