Anydvd-hd beta is out!!

http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupAnyDVDhd6120.zip

zip password is "takeyourtime" (without the quotes).

You have to reboot after the installation.

This version fixes a bug which prevents OpenSeason R2 (UK & Netherlands) to rip correctly. As always, there are many other small fixes and improvements.
Additionally, it supports decrypting and "on the fly remastering" of HD DVD discs:

6.1.2.0 2007 02 12
- New: Added support for new versions of the SONY Arccos protection
to the option to remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors"
- New: Added HD DVD and AACS support.
(Registered users need an upgrade key, currently only available to
registered beta testers)
- Fix: Problem with multi-angle titles and Sony Arccos protection
- Some minor fixes and improvements

If you want to test HD DVD decryption but you have bought AnyDVD (not running in demo mode) you have to remove your AnyDVD license key (easiest way to do so is to rename the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\SlysSoft\AnyDVD\Key to something else using regedit).

If you don't have a HD DVD drive you don't need to bother, of course.

Try it and find out

Short answer?..YES! My advice is to use with Powerdvd 7.1 for best results.

Are you kidding me? That thread says "It's coming", my thread
says...."IT'S HERE"!

If Blutach thinks it should be moved/removed, by all means.

I downloaded the beta program. Is there a way to rip it to your hard drive and watch it from there? I could not seem to figure it out with AnyDVD HD.

I wonder if it uses pre stored keys or if it grabs them from memory?

Run a HD DVD using PDVD ULTRA. Just start the movie. Then you can stop it. Take a look at the dir of the drive that has the disc. Its changed. You can prob figure out from there what to do next.

A def buy for me when it comes out.

Yes this is amazing. No more waiting for an hour for the movie to copy from disc/decrypt. Instant, real time playback! Hopefully their decryption method is robust enough to stand up to whatever changes aacs has in the works.

There is also and ANYDVDHD directory. So the dir structure is...

Code:
ROOT/-
	ANYDVDHD/
		CONTENT_CERT.AACS
		CONTENT_HASH_TABLE1.AACS
		CONTENT_HASH_TABLE2.AACS
		CONTENT_REVOCATION_LIST.AACS
		DKF.AACS
		MKBROM.AACS
		MNGCPY_MANIFEST.XML
		VTKF000.AACS
		VTUF000.AACS
	ADV_OBJ/
		DISCID.DAT
		VPLST000.XPL
		menu.aca
	HVDVD_TS/
		HVA00001.VTI
		FBI_WHVLOGO240.MAP
		HDintro.MAP
		Interpol.MAP
		PEVOB_1.MAP
		PEVOB_2.MAP
		SUPERMANRETJORELN4FE1_HD.MAP
		SUPERMANRETTEASEN6LT1_HD.MAP
		SUPERMANRETTLRN6LT1_HD_2.MAP
		SUPERMAN_DELETED.MAP
		SUPERMAN_MAKING_PT1.MAP
		SUPERMAN_MAKING_PT2.MAP
		SUPERMAN_MPAA.MAP
		WVSUPS0026N4FT1_HD.MAP
		intro_black.MAP
		FBI_WHVLOGO240.EVO
		HDintro.EVO
		Interpol.EVO
		SUPERMAN_DELETED.EVO
		SUPERMAN_MAKING_PT1.EVO
		PEVOB_1.EVO
		PEVOB_2.EVO
		SUPERMANRETJORELN4FE1_HD.EVO
		SUPERMANRETTEASEN6LT1_HD.EVO
		SUPERMANRETTLRN6LT1_HD_2.EVO
		SUPERMAN_MAKING_PT2.EVO
		SUPERMAN_MPAA.EVO
		WVSUPS0026N4FT1_HD.EVO
		intro_black.EVO
	SLY!/
		CONTENT_CERT.AACS
		CONTENT_HASH_TABLE1.AACS
		CONTENT_HASH_TABLE2.AACS
		CONTENT_REVOCATION_LIST.AACS
		DKF.AACS
		MKBRECORDABLE.AACS
		MKBROM.AACS
		MNGCPY_MANIFEST.XML
		VTKF000.AACS
		VTUF000.AACS
Works like a charm also. Lets get an open source version of this working.

Well I made a thread in the News section the other day when it first came out. It didn't seem to make the cut for one reason or another. EDIT: it's there now.

It grabs them from memory by itself.

I heard James will/has added script support. That is where you make your own script then let AnyDVD HD change it on the DVD (in memory of course). How cool is that? Can anyone show me that working? Now if only they would add it to DVDs.

I see no reason not to discuss the beta here.

The earlier post was basically a news item that someone was working on something that was not yet released, and so had little relevance to this subforum.

Now, if posters wish to publish some of their results, that would be useful to discuss.

Regards

Do you need the ANYDVDHD directory file and structures?
I copied a small evo file using anydvd and the same evo using backuphddvd. The anydvd evo stutters and skips barely playable and the backupdvd evo plays fine.

The ones I copied "drag and drop" from the disc while anydvd was running play perfectly.
