Has anyone tried the new Total Recorder Video Addon?

Total recorder released new version that has a video plugin / addon which edits avi files.

http://www.highcriteria.com/AddOnVideo.htm

I'm wondering if anyone has tried it and how it compares to the freeware software that's already out there.

Thanks.

@Cyberdave

Hi!

You can formulate your own first-hand opinion, because the site, at the link you've provided, offers a free trial version of the program.

Yes I did an intial test with that trial version, opening an avi file, extracting two sections and then trying to join those two sections together with it. I found a couple problems.

I have to email them to ask about it and then try the same thing with existing freeware like nandub or vdubmod.
The thing is while the free ones may be more robust(?), I find the interfaces on those harder to understand and use (since I'm newer to this) and was hoping for something that had a easy to use interface but at the same time was as good technically. I was hoping people with more experience here would have some more insight into it.
Thanks!
