DD+ Downmix Recording

Since there are no DD+ decoders at the minute, if one had a soundcard that had spdif in and out and since HD-DVD playback software downmixes DD+ to normal DD would it be possible to loop the hd-dvd output back in to the input and record the 5.1channel audio as a file?

If your soundcard supports SPDIF bit-identical recording, then yes.

Cheers.
