No 4 speaker mode available?

Im running WinXp with a soundblaster Live card. When playing ac3 encoded divx's the intervideo filter properties has the 4 speaker mode greyed. I have downloaded the new Live drivers and have checked the control panel to reassure that I am in 4 speaker mode. I have also tried bplayer and powerdivx with no luck. Lastly I played a dvd in WinDvd and did get the 4 speaker downmix.

What am I doing wrong?

Any Help Mucho appreciated....

... this is not a souncard driver problem, this ir more related to the AC3 decoder filter ( DirectShowFilter ) being used on DivX AVI playback.

What player are you using ? Note that there are a few AC3 DSF's out there that dont allow more than 2 speaker output. If your installed version of your DVD soft will allow you to use multi channel output you have to make sure this one is used for AVI playback as well .

Download PowerDivX 3.11 player from Doom9 and report what output configurations for AC3 tracks it will show you. Check the filter list also and try to insert the AC3 DSF from your DVD soft manually ...
