Really you don't know the answer?

1) Lossless formats flac, ape, ...
1+) 50% space than original (average). 17h of music in a DVD SL
1+) Can be played in PC.

2) Lossy formats mp3 -V0
2+) 20% space than original (average). 43h of music in a DVD SL
2+) Can be played in PC and in many standalone players.
2-) Lossy format, if you have a very well audio equipment and a very well ear you can notice the difference.

3) CD images, ...
3+) ? I don't know
3-) Can't be played directly.

Edit: Sorry 3-) Can't be played directly.
instead
3-) Can be played directly.

i mean have only one tool that can open all types? ( ...i really don't know.)
i don't mind with space needed to backup this cds, they are very importants for me.

i don't know all but flac, ape and cd images are cool but have another one?
of course,we can forget lossy as mp3,ogg,etc.

you give me options but don't give me your "vote".

another doubt: clone cd images can be played directly?
is not so important, only curious because i never used it before.

thanks.

Sorry, I don't know how. Wrong type.

For backup issues use lossless formats, always you can recover the original files.
