Noise in soft encode files

Topo Gigggio Registered User Join Date: Dec 2001 Posts: 9	Noise in soft encode files Is it normal an ac3 256k trans-coded with softencoded from an ac3 386k, that sounds with a noise on the background? It is not a real noise, it's like a "Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh", sorry but I don't know the technical term. Is it a result of the recompression?
