Nintendo Gamecube Mini-DVD Filesystem

Does anyone know anything about the filesystem layout on the Mini-DVD's used by Nintendo on their Gamecube? Or even some links or pointers to developer resources. I'd like to be able to look at the filesystem of Gamecube Mini-DVDs.

They are 8cm (3") DVD's, holding about 1.5 Gb.

So far what I hear from a friend who is looking into the gcn format is that it has a bunch of dummy files used for copy protection as well as 2 dummy tracks, one or both of which (i dont remember) is written in a reverse spiral order....that's all I know for now...and there is some on the fly compression system used i think
