Problems burning a backup of 'The Net 2.0'

Hi Guys,

I'm having some issues burning a backup of 'The Net 2.0'.

This disc is protected with either ripguard or ArCCos, so when decrypting i've used a PSL file (which was generated from both the PSL2 Plugin, and the new 'RipIt4Me' utility. Everything had appeared to rip fine, with no failed files.

I then cleaned the data up, using FixVTS, and imported the files in to DVD Shrink to create my backup, using Nero within Shrink.

The data aparently encoded fine, though when Nero kicked in I recieved the following error:

Windows XP 5.1

On further inspection, it would appear the file 'VIDEO_TS.VOB' has disappeared, though I know for a fact it was originally there. It would appear that DVD Shrink is doing something a little funky with this file and removing it

Any ideas as to how I may overcome this?

'VIDEO_TS.VOB' is not present.
This is not a required file. You should have had the option to continue anyway.

Thanks for the reply Dialisys, though the only option i get is a big fat 'close' button.

Not too sure if this is due to the version of Nero I'm running.

I have a few tricks up my sleeve though that i'll report back on if anything comes to fruition.

Nope, but thanks to you my good man, that will be my next port of call, as the river at Castle Sonnet79 has unfortunately run dry

Incidently, what does this file contain?

ImgBurn does exactly what the name states. It burns images. Since you had no problems in Shrink, backup your files to an ISO file and simply use ImgBurn to burn it to disc.

VIDEO_TS.VOB. The 'Video [Title Set] Object file for VMG Menu', this file works like a bookmark to tell the player that it is the start of the disc.
is a shot of Annapolis saved on my hard drive. You can see there is no VIDEO_TS.VOB file.

Turn off the setting DVD Shrink to AUTOMATICALLY burn with NERO - instead burn with NERO manually.

When you see the file reallocation notification, you'll now be given the option to "Ignore it" and continue - do so and your burn wioll successfully proceed...

Thanks for all your help gentlemen, I've since successfully burned this backup using ImgBurn, for which i was most refreshed to see was coded by our good friend LUK!

@Setarip_old - I will make the change in Shrink for future reference.

Thanks again Guys!
