How to cut MPEG2?

Hello everybody,
I need a program in order to remove the advertisement from a mpeg2-video-file (.mpg). It's no transport stream. The only program I've found so far is mpeg2schnitt but it doesn't support my file.

Now I hope I haven't overlooked something and this question isn't too stupid.
