mp2 -> mp3

Hi,

How to encode mp2 to mp3? I use GKnot to make my divXs and I can't use mp2 sound because GKnot use Azid and Lame. Are these programs able to do mp2 -> mp3 conversion? If not, how can I do?

Thanks.

alternativly you can use WinAmp. Just download a Lame MP3 Encoder Output plugin to directly convert it or use it's Disc Writer plugin to create a .wav file.

But AFAIK Lame can handle MP3 files as input and every MP3 decoder MUST be compatible to MP1 and MP2, too. Otherwise it wouldn't fully support MP3. So Gabriel_Bouvigne idea should also work.
