* Sound Blaster Live! Player 5.1 & dolby prologic

is there a way to 'decode' mp3 soundtrack to feed the 'sb liveplayer 5.1' with 3 or 4 channels of good old prologic?

Back in the days when I used this card, I recall the Live software allowing you to emulate surround sound. Look through some of your seetings and you should see a "Virtual 4 Speaker" setting or something similar. Can't help anymore, that's all I rememeber.

actually.. due to licensing costs no sblive supports dolby pro logic decoding.. what matter was refering to was a dolby-like 4 channel mode that's not compatible with dolby pro logic. So.. all you can do is output 2 channel audio and have your receiver do the job. Dolby surround decoding never really took off inside the pc

Does anyone know if you can use the prologic decoder built into PowerDVD4 to process mp3 files? I figured it would be almost the same as using WinDVD's audio filter, but maybe not if Cyberlink did not make them directshow filters.
