Audio Cleaning
Firstly Im sorry if this post should not be posted here.
I have some old DV footage but the audio is masked with computer buzz, (camcorder was sitting on top of a pc). can anyone point me in the direction of a program or plugin to remove specific frequencies. Somthing like a parametric equiliser would be cool. I use studio 10 and have an old copy of premier pro on my pc. |

computer buzz, huh?
i think you might be SOL... you will be able to remove some of it (the tonal components), but there'll be a fuzz left behind. it'll sound a bit like hiss but periodic (if that makes sense). audition is indeed good for this kind of thing, but it has limits, and wideband buzzes are one of them - they're halfway between audition's different noise reduction techniques (click/pop removal and FFT based "noise reduction"), and so neither one can remove it fully. you can still get usable results, but don't expect it to be like the buzz was never there.
