Directshow problem
I posted this in general becuase this Isn't about capturing video, its about a directShow problem.
I have TV capture card, and an HDTV card, both aplications get the following DirectShow error. This is a fairly recent problem, I had not trouble using my original capture card before. I assumed that my hardware had just died(I've had the other card forever), but after installing my new card the problem persists. I also noticed a few oddities in Virtual VCR. The color format (which I used to be able to change) is stuck on RGB24, and under the device options page, there is no video source to choose from even though it rcognizes my capture cards. I should mention that I have the latest version of DirectX. Please help. Last edited by *.mp4 guy; 11th November 2005 at 22:24. |

This may be an PNP/IRQ problem.
try uninstalling your your drivers, removing both capture cards then shut down your pc. Then boot back to your PC again. Windows will now recognize that both cards are gone. Now shut down your comp and reinstall one of the cards back into its slot, then boot into windows, install the drivers and see if it works. If it does then reinstall the other card and see what happens. If both of them work then Windows PNP wasn't working correctly. If it fails then the cards definately need to use different slots, or shouldn't be installed together. |

Thank you for the reply, but my first card stoped working before I installed my second card, and I removed my first card before installing it. I forgot to uninstall the drivers however, so I will try your solution, I will post if it works/doesn't work.
