Old VIVO format - How do I convert to vcd format ?

Hi does anybody know how to convert old VIVO files into vcd or divx. Anyone of those 2 formats are good, I just want to convert my old vivo files.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

2 ways I know of.

Both invole screen capture programs.

Camtasia (I've not tried it) or
Hypercam. Ive used hypercam successfully to convert WMV 8 and RM to avi WITHOUT AUDIO DESYNCH!

The problem with RM and WMV 8 (probably 9 to) is they use variable FRAMERATE! AVI files cannot handle variable framerate at all so it is impossible with the tools out there to convert directly. Using screen capture i captured at a steady 23.967 fps (so iut will be vcd ready), uncompressed. (I tried huffyuv but hypercam cant compress into hufyuv fast enough) then i converted to vcd. I also wrote a little program that presses F2 every X seconds so eacvh segment is small enough (Less than 4 gigs) (Pressing f2 stope recording, then pressing f2 again resumes recording with .01 .02 added etc.

Perhaps the new TPMGenc can open it. Install the DS and VfW Codecs of VIVO first and then try.

What about EO Video? It's able to convert real to avi or mpeg1. Could try loading the file in there and giving it a shot. Try avi with HuffyYUV codec.
