uncompress avchd with vdubmod & fddshow

Hi All,

I have found pinnacle 12 very crash happy and slow to edit avchd from my panasonic hdc-sd5. I want to experiment with uncompressing to avi then editing. The avchd wikipedia page claims fddshow and vdubmod can do this. I have installed them both. Vdubmod van open the .m2ts file (with Jake Luddington's template). Vdubmod won't uncompress. I assume it doesn't know fddshowtryouts is installed. How do It get to use ffdshowtryouts to decompress?
