I have tested with multiAVCHD, load a videofile, goes to the chapter page and push the "auto" button. (attached file: multiAVCHD Test 2) The thumbnail position of the last chapter is greater then the normal chapter time. Quote:
and the last chapter gets the chapter time as thumbnail position. This is a very good behavior. Maybe we dont need the "auto thumbnail" button. Your choice I would say. |

Loaded a video clip without any chapter file and clicked "auto", last chapter time code was always identical with thumbnail position time code, which was end of file. Quote:
So for "auto thumbnail" generation, how about incrementing the time code by .001s? |

EDIT: the last thumbnail position is generated by the last chapter time and the playtime of the clip. Quote:

it makes sence to have two options: 1. midway time of the chapters with last chapter: time = thumbnail position. 2. set a fixed value (0.001) to all chapter thumbnail positions (maybe the value can be changed) Last edited by hubblec4; 4th January 2014 at 19:10. |

That was not a big thing. The multiAVCHD format editor is to 98% ready, only small things(Help, Translation). I add the multiAVCHD format to the other format editors and then I will deploy the new version. |

Greetings hubblec4.
Had a quick test, the multiAVCHD addition seems to be working well. A few suggestions: 1. The default for thumbnail positions is 00:00:00.000. Perhaps it'd be better to leave it out as it is not clear how multiAVCHD would interpret it. 2. Could you make 0.001 the default variable for thumbnail generation? 3. Could you explain how the chapter name(s) settings work? Many thanks for this excellent piece of work. |

1. if time and thumnail position the same so generate multiAVCHD midway points automaticly. 2. the same behaviour occurs if you build a new multiAVCHD.chapter and let the thunmbnail posisions 00:00:00.000 only the last thumbnail position will not changed! in case 1 thumbnail position = time in case 2 thumbnail position = 00:00:00.000 the best way will be if you know the playtime of the clip. the last thumbnail position can then generate very easy. i could implement an edit field where you can enter the playtime. the hh:mm:ss.ms-format is the standard format in multiAVCHD. there are not many to explain. you can select in the 1. line (combobox) a predefined name (or you enter a new one). numbered: the first name receives a consecutive number. in line 2-4 you entered what ever you want an it will be used for all chapters. the thumbnail position can set to line 2 or 3 or 4. the line you have selected will be reserved and blocked for input. thank you for the reply and testing. For my mediaplayer I back-up a lot of BD's into my favorite mkv container. So I use the XML format often. Also because of your tool I'm encountering extra parameters of the format (and the mkv container itself for that matter) I earlier was unaware of.
So, for now, I'm in the process of learning/understanding what all these possibilities mean and can do for me. Should I come across difficulties or ideas, I'll let you know. Again, thanks for this great tool. :-) Cheers |

I am pleased that my tool further helps you.
my favorite container is mkv too. I backup a lot of series and i miss a menu for all the episodes(files). it's a shame that not all functions are available from mkv. there are no DS-Splitter that can handle mkv-dvd-menu-system. mkv-dvd-menu is a poweful feature and all the functions can simple set in a xml file.(ok, the structrue of a mkv-dvd-menu file is not so simple^^). |

A new version of chapterEditor is avalible.
The new feature: internal drag&drop for all editors for the XML Format editor is a special drag&drop system usable. With the left mouse button chapters are normally inserted before or after a chapter depending on whether a chapter should be moved up or down . Thus, it is no problem a "first " or "last " chapter of this rider. The move of nested chapters (and thus dissolve the structure ) is also possible. However, I then wanted to have a chance to build the nested -chapter structure again , if you have something accidentally dropped at the wrong spot . For this, the right mouse button is used to move . Drops you to a chapter as the drag chapter and its nested chapters chapters is appended as nested . Are already nested chapters present the drag section is inserted at last place . Drops you to an edition the Drag Chapter shall be inserted first. The drag is not activated until after you move the mouse a little. A chapter on one of its own nested chapters to drop , and draging from the root node or an edition and the drop to the root node are not possible. |

A new update is available.
This time there are a few important bug fixes and a new powerful editor. Multi Edititon Editor: I have enjoyed created with Xin1Generator me multi editions mkv's. are indeed no other tool which can create these special chapter.xml files. However, since there are a few things that bother me. It still took forever to to create the necessary files has (long analysis process). then you had all the files using the extract demux.cmd and then everything in mmg load and then mux everything back together. this can sometimes take a good 2h to 3h. Thanks Mosu mmg is to work be able directly BluRays (mpls). However, now there are no mpls on the bluray where all versions are saved, just as you can make it in mkv format. it would be a huge expense the m2ts files by hand in the corresponding row in the following mmg bring and then would still chapter.xml file missing. Therefore, I have written the multi editions editor. It is possible to deselect streams, convert, insert new subtitles and the trackorder change. Input and output as well as eac3to paths are self-explanatory. with the eac3to test button you get an info about the installed codecs, which uses eac3to. After the Bluray was scanned to obtain a possible selection of editions. only multi editions can be usefully related to each other. Therefore, there is a checkbox by which you can set it. but since I like to collect series BDs it is worth here to get these also visible. selected editions can be named. similarly, a language will be awarded. if you have everything set, it is confirmed with OK and you can access the streams. In the streams there are numerous options. each stream can be individually demuxed, subtitles all at once. the subtitles often contain "forced subs" which after a demux with eac3to in an info-log-file are displayed. the demuxed sups could be edited with BDSUP2Sub and reloaded later in the editor. audio streams using eac3to demuxing and can be converted. existing formats are in the combobox and you can specify in the edit field next eac3to options. for example: -core or -320mb or -down2 etc. can specify the convert audio to whether the original audio stream in mmg / mkv should be used. one would like to the converted audio stream does not have in mmg / mkv you have to check off "to mmg". the streams can all be activated / disabled separately or all at once. each stream can be assigned a name, as we know it from the mmg. very important is the track order. you should all tracks there anyway you position them in wants to have mmg / mkv. it is in mmg is not possible to sort later. (it would be safe 100000 clicks necessary because there is no drag and drop) after placing a file name, you can create the mmg and the two xml files. in the target folder should be now these three files. simply starts the mmg and presses on Start mux. one must therefore make only a single mux process to a multi editions mkv file to arrive. I had to test only the T2 BD, it could well be that a few adjustments necessary are. Much joy at try. change first contribution. Code:
Changelog chapterEditor add & fixed * improvement # layout change % rev0.14 // chapterEditor & multi edition editor # Bluray Parser: chapter which are hidden to the user are ignored from now // OGG Format * MPLS files could not be loaded // XML Format * copy an "ordered" edition did not work // multiAVCHD Format * MPLS files could not be loaded // multi edition editor - Blurays with multiple editions mux to mkv using eac3to and mmg - create with just a single mux process and additional settings, - simply multi versions mkv's & show multi editions only - this will ensure that you can not mux wrong streams together - off: all editions are visible & used titles / editions can be named, and a language can be assigned - these data are stored in tags.xml and later from the player appears & demux option for video, audio, subtitles - video: here a language can also be assigned - audio: it might as well be converted to another format - at the "eac3to option" can any valid eac3to command, or more to be entered - org audio: selects whether the original audio stream in the mkv should be included or not - to mmg: the converted stream will be used in mmg and included in mkv - subtitles: it can be all or any individually demuxed - after the demux you get a eac3to-log-file where you can look if there are "forced subs" - loading of external subtitles (BD_SUP SRT), these can then use other options be edited, just like the original subtitles (default trag flag, compression) - a name for each track can also be assigned (track name) & setting track order - move the tracks to the desired position by drag & drop (a move later in mmg is almost impossible) & eac3to Test Button, it is an info display what you have installed all of usable codecs |
