Ya, 116 seems to be buggered up. It's also only 79 kb's.

I made a mistake earlier..it is in the playlist. I didn't scroll far enough down in the BDR window.

If I knew how I could remove it from the playlist, that would be worth a try.

I've had bad rips due to my Lite-on drive iHES108. They made it through the encode, but there were problems with the output. E.g. the audio would be non existent in certain segments. Although the rip itself appeared fine. Apparently the audio encoder simply isn't noticing a problem. I only use that drive for quality scanning now. My LG WH10LS30 is also non trustworthy. It reads perfectly, but every burn is a coaster now. Thankfully, I put a 3yr warranty on the successor (WH12LS39). If this one quits prematurely, I may be done with LG drives. Which would suck, since I love the living room player BD640.

Ok. Now I see what's going on. Movie only mode causes the title to change :S

I see Adbear has also discovered this

Sounds like you have a faulty file. If you remove the file then you'll have a part of the movie missing. You need to re-rip the movie

If it's really BDRB that's doing that playlist thing then i owe you an apology. Sorry, it just looked too much like an illegitimate disc with that source name. That being said it does look like a corrupt rip, AFAIK BD's don't use MPEG1 codec but either MPEG2, AVC or VC-1.

Accepted.

Unfortunately I do not have the disc anymore. The other 2 movies, I rented at the same, ripped and ran through BDR fine, though.

I've also had issues with Blue Ray burners in the past, but never read problems. Usually write issues where they won't play in stand alone players. Solution, replace the reader/burner.

Try and find a fairly rough looking disc. Whether it rips it with ease, or struggle, is not exactly a determining factor. Bd Rebuilder(and tools) seems to be the true test. If it makes it through without consequence, you have yourself an agreeable reader I've had discs that slowed to 2Mb/s. I assumed the rip went south. I've seen warps in the dyes already too. Tiny bubbled up areas.

Yup. BDRB is definitely appending the playlist number to the disc label. I didn't notice before, but I just looked at the log history and this started happening with the latest BDRB release. Not sure if it only affects "movie only" backups; all my backups are movie-only.

i did 5 rebuild so far in the past 2 days and it doesnt affect full disc backups nor movie+menu (with blanking) option. It's logical though, apart from blanking some shit out you keep the full disc structure so BDRB doesnt need a specific playlist to use

The PLAYLIST portion of the name is added by BD-RB. I added it because there was no other way to know whether you were backing up the correct playlist, and I got tired of going back and reselecting over-and-over when I wasn't sure. It only applies to movie-only backups. From the change log:
Code:
- Added the MPLS (playlist) number to the title section
of the stream list when MOVIE-ONLY mode is selected.
This is to avoid confusion as to which playlist is
active at any point in time. The playlist number
is also now displayed as a part of the batch list.
It also makes it easier when you're backing up individual episodes from series disc (e.g. to MP4). That way you know which episodes have been done and which haven't.

Good to know! It's not a bug... it's a feature

(I suppose I should read the change log more often. I usually just upgrade and go. With never a complaint).

I know that BD-RB can't re encode 3D discs at the moment but should it be able to rebuild the file structure? I have a 35gb disc but when I untick all the foreign streams it comes in at less than 25gb. Should it be able to do this? Trie the disc but just gets past the language selection and then does nothing.

Braveheart (Sapphire Series)

After AnyDVD (7.0.8.0) rips the movie, I've set BD-RB to blank the last 3 segments using:

I noticed the original size is 45.3GB (Stated by Directory Opus). The above BD-RB config outputs 2.42GB. Those 3 parts I blanked are "The High Definition Experience.." blah, blah..and 50.44MB each. The other is 0.15MB. Looking at the final directory I notice the movie M2TS isn't there. I didn't set BD-RB to blank the movie or the extras, only logos! So I had BD-RB do it again..not blanking anything.

Now the output directory is 37.2GB. The movie and extras are there..seems to play well. I've now set to only blank the 0.15MB segment.
BD-RB is processing...
Process finished. Final size is 2.51GB. Seems that blanking that segment (stream) breaks something...or bug with BD-RB?

jdobbs, thanks for the newest version. I recently tried to back up a bluray but somehow the audio from the menu is tied to the trailer audio which I kept but I don't know why the audio is not there after I encoded. Unless it is tied to the second audio track which I have removed, but that couldn't have make sense because the trailer is the same as the menu's scene motion. The bluray is an asian bluray called The Four.

What would cause this error:

- [10:58:23] Remuxing DTSX/IGS stream(s)
- [10:58:33] Processing: VID_50469 (36 of 47)
- [10:58:33] Extracting A/V streams [VID_50469]
- Error in attempt to extract audio/subs.
-
[11:02:54] - Failed to retrieve audio, aborted

It's happening on every source I try, however same settings different computer completes with no issue. Inspect shows everything is ok.

Is this an originally commercially created disc?

Any other suggestions? Manually editing the structure is not the most desirable solution.

FYI. When I replaced the .m2ts, .clpi, and .mpls files with the originals, everything plays fine.

Braveheart Update:

Using the Movie and Menus (Auto-blank Extras) then selectively unchecking the extras I want produces my desired backup. It's the only mode that showed what I couldn't select to blank. Are you able to change that in the other modes? I checked with BD-25, encode High Speed. Now I'll use Highest, for quality.

Thank ~a lot~ for FORCE_NOENCODE=n!! I'm going to test more with that.

May I also suggest, when a SubProgram crashes that BD-RB _ makes _Sure_ that "tsmuxer.exe" is exited checking the process better? Even when the Info checker says all is good... I restarted a later than midnight process twice, that...come to find in other moemnts what the challenge was...I killed it, and got a good result when I was....more awake. :-D
What I noticed is that TsMuxer had locked a file in use even though BD-RB showed everything had quit. So the 2nd attempt, was futile because of that. I hadn't cleaned the trash, so the "locked" file (over a Gig) remained for 2 reset (sleepy) attempts...

Thanks.

Don't think he was taking to me because my issue included multiple sources so wasn't source specific, but rather machine specific.

As for my issue, I found out what the issue was, turns out I was low on disk space. I thought BD Rebuilder would have a check for this but I guess it doesn't. Anyway, thanks jdobbs for this great piece of software!
