it would be nice if we can choose the mpa + the mpv directly on the computer, (i've delete the original evo... and i no longer have the HDdvd to have a new one) ?
It'll be very great
(possible to have batman working with sound with this method ? :S)

Yes, it's a good idea, but I'm a newbie.

Take your time , it's good i've refind the evo , but i'm still interested but what i said ^^, moreover i've remux batman, and no problem with the frame ! very good !, i've also chosen an audio track but can't hear any sound..., i think i've chosen the french track and it's not the default track... so if you can put in your program the possibility to change the default track, u are a champion

I confirm what i said, i've now chosen the audio track 0 and it work fine !, i'll try with a playlist to watch i can choose the french track... but can you watch if it's possible to change an audio track to a default track ?
i'll tell you more in few hours about my tests

You need to add a 'b' after 53

Pelican, could you included an option to slice output to 4.7GB or 8.5GB?

And the default destination should not be what the XPL file is at,
as sometimes I just read it from the dics directly.

You can split the files with many software, (e.g. total commander).

default destination: Options/Output folder

i've been trying this with varying degrees of success since this thread started. i've been able to demux avc video (equilibrium) and mux to mp4, then to mkv as seen here. . this plays back perfectly in mpc with coreavc (fps specified in yamb)

vc1 vids (e.g supes returns) i have to re-encode due to probs with sonics codecs (with them being registered i cant play back avc video as they mess other codecs around). i tried microsofts vc1 decoder (linked to in another thread - no joy, back to sonics). this works (after some messing around due to a lack of a frame count). the main issue is getting sound. the method in the link above works but can result in getting the soundtrack or a commentary.

i figured demuxing all would be the best bet. now the problem is still the sound. video, whether avc or vc1 i can control to a point, but nothing will let me deal with the audio tracks. graphedit wont even recognise the dd+ file and wont let my try to set it up to be played with the sonic codecs.

anyone else in the same position?

@Pelican9,

not yet as I have been quite busy all the week, but I will do some intensive testing this weekend and give you feedback. Thanks again for this functionality.

@all,

I know, this is not exactly the topic of this thread, but I am desperately looking for some answers and really beg for your help. What exactly is a fully hd-dvd compliant structure ? I am asking because,

I would like to do the following:

1) Demux .evo file
2) Bring a normal DD5.1 audio track lipsync
3) Rebuild the .evo file
4) Split the .evo file to 8,5GB parts to fit on DVD-DL
5) Reauthor every 8,5GB part as an independent HD-DVD
6) Watch the backup on XBox360 HD-DVD drive

Any chance this would be possible ?

Thank you all very much in advance.

the furthest i've gotten so far with the audio (thanks to windvd) is to be able to play it back in graphedit and play via avs in mpc. problem is, whether the source is an evo file or the demuxed audio track - the length is 24 minutes roughly.

the same for the uncompressed wav written in an attempt to extract a usable audio track.

bizzare

I think you can't... and if the 360 can read evo on a dvd, you will have to change the playlist, and i think there'll be a problem with the .map... watch the movie on ur pc

If you check only the french audio (uncheck the others) and then rebuild the evo, you can get an evo with (renumbered) french audio only. It's working for me.
Do you have the latest version?

EVOdemux 0.54b makes a .pts file for every subtitle (It contains the timing information for the subtitle stream).

I've made another tool to process the demuxed subtitles (it's need the .pts file too).
It can make an .srt file, looks like this:
Code:
0:01:14,046 --> 0:01:18,608
line 1

2
0:01:18,684 --> 0:01:21,210
line 2

3
0:01:21,286 --> 0:01:24,586
line 3

...

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have solved the E-AC3 audio problem for now by using this graphedit flow:

FEATURE_1.EVO -> Intervideo Demultiplexer -> Intervideo Audio Decoder

Then I use bepipe.exe, which calls an avisynth script that does a Directshowsource() on the .grf; the 2 channel wav output is piped into aften.exe and re-encoded as normal AC3.

So, it's only 2 channel for now, but the sound quality is very good, and if you setup the Intervideo Audio Decoder correctly I believe it will Pro Logic encode the surround sound. Note that the Intervideo demultiplexer retrieves the primary audio stream, which generally is the one you want. You can also substitute in the Sonic Demux and it will usually demux the audio commentary track. It will be nice to have Pelican9's stream re-numbering in the EVO since there is no direct control over which audio is demuxed in Graphedit, and there is no way to decode a demuxed E-AC3 file directly.
