Help having issues.

I am trying to put a dvd on to a dvdr and I copied the entire contents to the hd. I then tried stripping all the unwanted stuff (2nd audio, subtitles etc) and it would not fit on the dvdr. So now I just want to copy the movie and when I do, the movie starts fine but get about 1 min into it and then starts over with the foreign lang. This is just in the beginning. If I goto the middle its fine.
ANy suggestions? Also is there a way to keep the main menue?

sounds like a multi angle issue
use ifo edit
if its only at the beginning and end
(credits)
