Rate Control Mode

I have read a lot of the posts, and although I don't really understand a lot of the lingo, I have seen differencing opinions on the Rate Control Mode. So for the most consistant file size, quality movies which really is the best to use? VBR, CBR, CQ or the CQ_VBR?
I hope the more posts I read here, the more I will understand about DVD2SVCD. thanks all

I'm going to answer the "obvious" part. Quality is in your eyes.

In terms of file size prediction: CQ mode is the worse.
In terms of quality: CBR is the worse.

Personally, (until I've changed to CCE) I was using CQ mode, which is fine in quality, but many times I had to reencode for a second time using a fixed Q, lower than the one calculated by D2S, due oversized results.
