Thanks again for such a handy tool. I too am waiting for Panasonic SD Card Plasma display support. I would love to help you test this as I'm assuming you don't have direct access to the hardware itself. I was able to make by hand a sample video that played back quite well, but I really want to use your tool to automate things.

@MMtracker: Thanks

About menu colors - I described it earlier in this thread. The color chosen for title names is used for top (headline) and bottom (credits) texts in the menu pages. Headline uses ~30% less luminosity of the titles' color and credits texts use ~60% less. It was by design.

When adding files - their order depends in part on Windows and the way you select them. I can make them get sorted before showing up in media tab. You can always use UP/DOWN to rearrange them (if you're not adding AVCHD folders)

@Bakafish: You're right, unfortunately my panasonic (42py85) has SD slot, but doesn't support AVCHD. Fortunately, Playstation3 recognizes the format used for TVs so I guess I'll make it work.

If someone can send me such (SD) samples of 1920x1080 and 1280x720 videos - I'll appreciate it.

could I simply replace the new m2ts with the old m2ts and doing some playlist+clpi editing?

and why should I not have 23 subtitles? ;-)

Maybe because you dont speak 23 languages? Or you dont have in your home (HOME ENTERTAINMENT) people of 23 different languages?

Can you combine clips together for only one entry on the title listing? I've been able to do this by using my camera to remove files to mave a specific AVCHD folder, but the camera won't add files to the listing from another source. For example, I have 10 clips of skiing that I'd like to lump together, but retain the chapter capability of forwarding to the next clip that happens when it's treated as an AVCHD folder. Maybe there's another tool that does this that can be used to make AVCHD folders that then multi AVCHD can use?
Most of my clips are in the 50-100 Meg size range, so I can't fill up a disc and still have them all in the menu without combining files into one file entry.

Thanks!

Hi deank,

first thanks for this incredible tool. This was exactly the tool I was looking for. You got my donation some days ago, but I have to wait these 5 days before I can post anything.
So there is one little addition I like to see in a future version. Because I'm a collector of TV series I like to arrange every season on a seperate menu page. This means for example if the series has two seasons with each ten episodes I like to have the ten episodes of season one on page 1 and the second season on the second page and so on.
And as a final touch it would be great to give each menu page a seperate backdrop image.
This is actually not possible because every menu page has 14 entries (If I'm right).
So maybe it's possible for you to find a way that I can arrange my series like that.
Thank you for thinking about it.

Greetings, PixelPipe

A bit later I will release a new version. It would require DAT update or complete download.

It allows creating additional menu type with 4 pages with 7 static thumbnails - again total of 28 titles. For thumbnail generation you need to have directshow filters that allow you to play the files you add to the compilation.

Quick note on latest build

ver 2.4 build 391 (DAT ver 2.4.390)
multiAVCHD.dat update is required (link is in 1st post)

New menu option with 4 pages with 7 titles displaying thumbnails of title videos. To use this option you will need x264/avisynth/directshow filter and splitter - ones that play your input videos (in other words ffdshow and haali media splitter will do the job).

While compiling menu pages you may notice multiple icons appearing/disappearing in your taskbar space (usually ffdshow/mediasplitter).

Please share your experience with the new option on Authoring tab.

Enjoy,
Dean

p.s. Latest full download contains latest version of tsmuxer (thanks again to ~bt~). It should resolve know issues with HD audio tracks (TrueHD)

Dean,

Just as in the previous time we had to download the DAT, I can't seem to complete the file, it stops at 99,98%!!

Can you upload it on another server?

Cheers!

Hi Dean, you may have read in other threads by now but TSMuxer was updated yersterday to fix the TrueHD issue. .clpi issues still remain but it's a start. You can download the newest .exe from here. It's an .exe only update but the 1.8.8 GUI works with it.

@jdeiro: There are 2 links. Sorry - I can't provide any other feed.

@idbirch: Thanks. ~bt~ PM'd me earlier today. I didn't follow all threads and I missed it. Thanks anyway. I just lost 2 days making navigational arrows of the new menu go where I want and I had zero time to read other threads.

@nwg: I do hope it will work for you, too.

***

edit: A known issue with latest build with thumbnails-menu is inability to switch menu pages once the last menu page is reached. I lost a day with this but decided to release this build anyway. I'm working on it now.

I will be trying it in a minute. Will the log mention the thumbnails so I know it is working while compiling?

You're welcome.

A little update (392) fixes problems with last page navigation if thumbnails are used.

@nwg: Yes, if verbose logging is enabled, you should see log messages before creating thumbnails.

Thumbnails work great

Excuse the out of focus pic. My Blu Ray is on a projector so it is hard to get a good close up pic.

http://www.apah20.dsl.pipex.com/pics/thumbnails.jpg

I did notice it uses the down arrow to go from one title to the next. Makes sense as it is easier than using all to navigate.

Mysterious error with built 394:

That version didn't delete the files in the Temp Folder, which were created during the process, but all other files in the Temp Folder!
