I finally figured out how to do this by adding a couple filters and download a plugin, but honestly its been a hassle trying to figure out which each line of code represents without a GUI. I use this plugin here: http://neuron2.net/logo/logo.html If you like, I can show you how I did it with staxrip. But I'm sure you can figure that out yourself |

Parameter | Bitrate By Percent Sets the bitrate according to the compressibility. i cant get StaxRip to apply anything but defaults are 50% & 60% the only options?

@00mitpat
if you want to use a 64bit build of x264 with StaxRip follow this simple workaround Download ->avs4x264.exe rename avs4x264.exe to x264.exe rename the 64bit x264.exe your using to x264_64.exe place them in the same folder x264.exe->x264_64.exe continue using x64 builds of x264

@stax76
does'nt work with custom values i can only apply 50% & 60% a little slider under quality percentage to adjust the % or maybe make it editable like size and bitrate have

@MuLTiTaSK
It works here and without detailed description I can't make any changes, the point of 2 pass is using a fixed file size so adjusting the file size according the quality is pointless, well maybe somebody can describe a scenario where it isn't pointless, for such a scenario I would need a detailed description.

@stax76
2passes with a aimed quality is not pointless it actually yields better results for me then just running a quick blinded -crf encode i want control over my encoding process i usally encode with a Aimed Quality percentage of 80-100 with -crf 17 being 100% quality quality being the most important factor after i run compressibility check i adjust the quality according to the compressibility of source i encode my backups to quality then store my disks away simple does it

hello
I've been using staxrip since 2005 I believe I'm very pleased with it, except one section the audio enocding audio has always been my problem a couple of years ago, when on planetdvb, stax put the section [audio] in filters and nicaudio decoding then somehow the code broke now it has been partly fixed (when cutting, audiodub should go up in the avs, right after MPEG2Source, so as to get audio processing done right inside avisynth) my question is: stax, why don't you implement stdout to encode audio and use avisynth's audio processing? on the fly conversion without intermediate files is the best way, isn't it? keep up the good work |
