There is probably no equal mode in VPx, as there is also no equal mode in Xvid.
Some encoders support a target bitrate in 2-pass VBR mode, and a constant quantizer in 1-pass mode, but have no similar concept of a "constant quality metric value with slightly varying quantizer in 1 pass" as x264 offers. ffmpeg offers a lot of options for the case that an encoder may support it, but does not guarantee that all encoders support all options. The closest similar option may be a constant quantizer, but it doesn't aim for a "constant degree of quality loss", it doesn't care about the actual video content. |

@Honeyko they all seem to be useful and as you said would be a great addition. I suppose they'll be added eventually but meanwhile you can use them by manually entering them to custom options section. |

If I add any mkv file which has subtitles embedded TEncoder doesn't see the subtitle track
Where is x264 located? cause I want to swap it with a 10bit x264 so I can encode videos at 10bit. I'm using the portable version. Last edited by Ruriko; 19th January 2014 at 11:22. |

Disable subtitles. Add "-sid x" to custom Mencoder command chain, "x" being the the id of the subtitle you want to burn-in. MEncoder must be selected as encoder. |

I just reformatted my PC, and yet still have the same problem, now FFMPEG also gives me problems. Why no longer do. I've done tests with a version of Mencoder used before and now does not work me. Do not know if it's a compatibility problem with Avisynth, I used alpha4 and alpha5 and nothing. Help please.
