Can AviSynth/ffdshow Rip DVDs?
I have a DVD that has a protection that prevents me from ripping the content into my computer. When playing from the DVD, however, it looks fine.
I'm wondering. Is there a way to read the DVD normally, then hook into the rendering chain with ffdshow/AviSynth, process the video as needed, and then encode with x264.exe? DGIndex.exe crashes on this DVD |

Rip DVD to file folder using whatever, I tend to use RipIt4Me together with a few other tools eg DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink.
Then can use DGIndex/Avsynth on the result. EDIT: I use DVDShrink without compression, just to select required subs and audio for avisynth.
