can i do 2*ac3+ a new mp2 in rush in Rio ?

@ 2cool,Dave and masters:
(thanks in advance for your guides,
i got a dvd burner and in few days i did miracles)

Rush in Rio have ac3-2ch and ac3-5.1ch.
the sound is "horrible".
in the left and right surround,
we can hear only the people screaming!
the lfe channel have only a "rumble" sound...no notes.
then i demux the 5.1 audio and get only the
left(front),center and right(front) channels
with besweet and/or headac3he to do a new mp2 stereo channel.
believe me....sounds better, less screams, rumbles and more vocals!
this mp2 sounds better in stereo amplifiers.

using vobedit and ifoedit i can remux the main movie
with this 3 audio channels:
ac3-2ch,ac3-5.1ch and the "new" mp2 stereo 256kb!

the main is perfect and in powerdvd or in dvd-rw(tested in 2 players),
i can choose one of this 3 channels to listen.
perfect sincro and quality!

what i can't find:
how can i insert this "new main movie"
in the full movie without loose the menu, extras, etc?
this i can't do!

can you help please?

thanks!

I don't have much time right now to completely answer you, but try doing this.

First, drag you movie VOBs in question, no VTS_*_0.VOBs, in to another directory for safe keeping just in case this doesn't work. Also backup your IFOs and BUPs to the folder too.

Drag your new VOBs into your original folder. Open up your IFO, in question, with IfoEdit.

Go to / VTSI_MAT. At Address 204, increment the number of audios by one. Double click on Aud_3, and set the options. You may have to reference on the others to help you out.

Click on VOB Extras button and select "Strip streams". Set a destination folder. We are going to do a mock strip so keep everything and click on strip it button.

When done, drag your new files to replace your old ones. Get VTS Sectors. Look in your IFO's VTS overview, hopefully you should see your newly added audio.

After doing this, in order to make the 3rd audio stream appear in the VTS overview, you have to do this:
VTS_PGCITI ---> for each VTS_PGC edit the new audio stream status: double click on it and insert a number which is the conversion from hexadecimal to decimal of the stream number followed by 00.
Examples:
80 ---> 8000 ---> 32768
81 ---> 8100 ---> 33024
82 ---> 8200 ---> 33280
I don't know if it is necessary, but you can also open VIDEO_TS.IFO and do:
VMG_VTS_ATRT ---> edit the number of audio streams in title to 3
Edit audio stream properties in VMG overview
BTW, I suggest you to use the celltimes.txt obtained from your original IFO when you reauthor, otherwise you'll lose all your chapters.

ooops.....see my avatar!

trying (3 times)one little cartoon with menu,audio selection,etc
dvd, 24 minutes full movie
with 15 files :

VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_0.VOB
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_02_0.BUP
VTS_02_0.IFO
VTS_02_0.VOB
VTS_02_1.VOB
VTS_03_0.BUP
VTS_03_0.IFO
VTS_03_0.VOB
VTS_03_1.VOB

the main movie is working (powerdvd) with 3 audios
(2*ac3 + 1mp2)in the folder with the new remux.

i follow all steps and after change the files,
lost the menu and scenes selections.
they all are in the video_ts folder but can't call them,
if i open the vobs in powerdvd i can see the 3 audio options.

i got diferents sizes between the files(news are small):
old size new size
video_ts.bup 12k 6k
video_ts 12k 6k
vts_01_0.bup 42k 22k
....etc...files from vobedit/ifoedit have less size.
the last new vob have more size
(with the new mp2,the final size of the vobs encrease,of course)

can you help me more please?

You mustn't use your new IFOs, just the new VOBs! All the editing explained by 2COOL and me must be done on your original IFOs, otherwise you'll lose all your command tables (which "call" the menues).

33465
37328
41046
and the others have one or two numbers.
i had tryed using the 8 celltimes that i did

well.....

in the rip folder i have:
VTS_01_0.ifo with 1,82mb.
this ifo have the "advertence and paramont apresentations".

VTS_01_1.ifo 0,99gb and VTS_01_2.ifo 148mb
this 2 ifos have the menu and the main movie(little cartoon)

when use ifoedit to remux the video and the 3 audios
(2*ac3 + new mp2 ...no subs),
ifoedit create a new
VTS_01_1.ifo and VTS_01_2.ifo
that's ok,with the 3 audios options
but
---> the VTS_01_0.ifo is created in the VTS_01_1.ifo !
the new VTS_01_1.ifo have the "advertence and paramont apresentations"

the menu don't work,i have only the
"advertence and paramont apresentations"
and the player stop
but if i open the new vobs, the 3 audios are there!

i did all again but just the same result.
i'm missed somewhere.

80% of the work is ok!
maybe one left step with your help and... bingo!
thanks.
