Fraps capture chokes dubbing during certain frames ?

Hey guys,

Been a while since i posted last. I have a hobby of capturing my direct x stream with Fraps and then use VirtualDub to encode to x264 using the x264vfw codec. These are usually about an hour and are about 40 gigs uncompressed. When the encode hits a certain frame it will error out the process stating virtualdub cant read the frame or two frames from the avi file.

When just playing over the resulting frame i get this error "Unrecognised frame format.Please install the latest version of Fraps" "VideoSourceAvi [ICDecompress] error: bad format (-2)".

This makes encoding really annoying because i would have to edit out the frame and restart encoding until it again hits a bad frame. Very tedious...

Is there a script i can run or a quick reencode that will get rid of the bad frames and then i can compress from that ?

Im on Fraps 2.9.8 and i am also on Windows 7. Newest Virtualdub

Thanks guys,

Xplic1T

Question answered and will try to close.

Error mode in video will continue encode to next keyframe.

Video-> Error Mode-> 2nd Option
