Project status
Guys...sorry I'm coming at this late. According to Trac, looks like the last update was 2 months ago. Did not see forums setup and no clear discussion as to development beyond this thread. Everyone loose interest or just down time and too busy for the holidays? New project elsewhere?
TIA |

Unfortunately, I'm usually pretty busy on the weekends so the normal time (previously set) is most likely out for me, but I can try to make arrangements to drop in next weekend. Honestly though, I should tell you that my interest was more from a user's POV as I'm not much of a 'programmer' (to use the term very lightly). I can usually dig my way out of build issues and provide some very basic level of testing. I can maintain autotools scripts and DocBook sources, and have done much CVS and Subversion and a little bit of Trac maintenance, though I haven't bothered with git yet...all of those mundane admin tasks involved. If any of those skills could be put to use later on down the line, I'll be happy to help out where I can.

Do not focus on AACS and BD+
In a first step you can ignore copy protection. Just rip the discs with Slysoft's rip tool.
Instead try to demonstrate basic BD playback on Linux. This would be: 1. basic PlayList playback with Primary Video, Primary Audio and Presentation Graphics 2. advanced PlayList playback with Secondary Video, Secondary Audio 3. HDMV titles and title transitions and Interactive Graphics 4. Then you could go for BD-J. AACS and BD+ is not your problem, yet. |

PS:You can view the changes (and thus see the progress made) by getting the code, but there is no table of the targets set and how many of them have been met. |

libbluray, libaacs, and libbdplus are now hosted by videolan and are in git repos. libbluray info can be found at http://www.videolan.org/developers/libbluray.html.
libaacs page will be up soon, but the git repo is available to the public now. Search the forums for the git repo link. libbdplus is still not available to the public yet. Mailing lists for libbluray and libaacs will be up (and working) soon. There's no designated section available in trac for any of the libs at the moment. |
