Hi Atak,
I am having a lot of trouble with the audio on a collection of Bluray disc's from my neighbour.... I haven't done any direct Bluray's rip's thru Ripbot in years, and I'm puzzled why this is happening. As you know most BR's will have DTS in some form or another, and after having ripped them with AnyDVD (which I am having problems with, also), once it's all been loaded into the job screen, the audio is shown to be PCM...(even tho it shows DTS in the audio path window) can't seem to change that, so after the encode is complete, there's basically no audio, a little bit of background sound, but the main audio (speech, etc) is so muffled, you can hardly hear it. Any ideas ??? |

I think I know what I did wrong...at the "Select Streams" window, it chose "wave", I think I should have chosen "core".
Will try that, and report back.... Edit :- Yep, that was the problem, I need to chose "core" for DTS-xx Last edited by burt123; 3rd May 2018 at 08:06. Reason: Reporting back... |

Atak,
Not sure if this is an issue, but just started encoding my movies with the latest version. Looking at the screenshot below, I do not see any mention to my nvidia or AMD video cards like it use to say in the past. IS this correct or do I have the wrong setting somewhere? Just want to make sure Also, when I get to the creating chunks screen, the program does not show the chunks queue creation after the first two or three. The Window title displays (unresponsive). However, it is actually working in the background. I leave it alone for a few and the window becomes active showing all the chunks created and begins encoding. Just wondering as to others it may appear that the program may have crashed, but in reality it has not. Thanks in advance! |

No it is not. If main thread of application is busy doing something longer than let's say 5 seconds then Windows marks that application as "unresponsible"

For some reason Server 2012 R2 just in the last day (no updates where installed) starting giving me a blue ribbon across the screen "This app can't run on your PC" when running eac3to. This occurred when adding a job or running it manually. Downloading eac3to v3.34 got rid of the error when running it manually and I copied it over the eac3to in the tools folder and everything worked again.
Would not surprise me in the slightest if Microsoft pushed out a silent update to Windows Defender or something similar that broke this. |

@Atak_Snajpera:
Just a thought about DE... At moment DE client starts a job, creates chunks and so forth and THEN starts distributing jobs to servers. In the time when client is preparing DE-Session servers are idle. When having several jobs in pipe this leads to some downtimes of servers. Why not preparing future jobs (or at least one of them) in the meantime while servers working on current job? Not at high priority (so servers can act at full speed), but fast enough that preparation is done when current job is finished, so that servers can switch to new chunks without downtime. |

For example I have 4 servers. when down to the last two chunks the idle servers could start the next job. I can see some cases this would be a marginal benefit but I know there are cases this could save a non-marginal amount of time with very slow encode jobs, and would also help in those rare cases that a server gets stuck starting a job and I come back to see my servers idle for 12 hours with only 1 chunk trying to start "Encoding..." |
