Thanks for fixing 'remember window position' in 1.0.3.1.

Another issue I often encounter is when launching fullscreen is enabled, exiting fullscreen has inconsistent behavior.
To test:
1. Enable options>playback>fullscreen 'launch files in fullscreen'
2. close the player and open a new file
3. Exit fullscreen

Result is on primary display it minimizes and takes 2 clicks to open the window, on extended display (no taskbar) it goes to a window.

Expected is it goes to a window no matter if it's primary or extended display.

Try this build http://aleksoid.tosei.ru/Test/mpc-be...ew_hang_fix.7z - fix hang/crash when preview enable and open BD/m2ts and quick close Explorer.

I agree.
I would like to use the player in "Frame Only" mode but then the only way to close it is by pressing ALT+F4 (as far as I know at least), and I would prefer a way through the GUI.

Some questions:
1) I used the "old" MPC-BE and I knew that updates to MPC-HC would be included in it, so is it still the same?

2) I was wondering if it makes sense to disable all DXVA since I have a powerful enough PC (Intel Core i5-2500 & ATI 5770)? I've heard that DXVA can cause artifacts sometimes.

3)How should I set the subtitle options for best quality (in particular regard to anime)? I've set "Sub pictures to buffer" at 0, "Maximum texture resolution" at dekstop, "allow animation when buffering" enabled and "round up to power of two" disabled.

Thanks.

Just trying out MPC-BE. I tried to setup its options exactly as mpc-hc. One major difference for me. By default with MPC-BE it seems to play some unforced japanese subtitles in blu-rays. I'm using LAV Splitters and have it set to only display forced subtitles. In mpc-hc I get exactly as I expect, only forced subtitles.

Whats making MPC-BE override this? Should LAV Splitter be deciding what subtitles to play, not mpc? Whatevers in mpc is overriding this, its picking the wrong language :P

I love the interface though, the seekbar is lovely, and meant I can hide the "Status" bar, to make more room for playback. Cheers devs

I use it without frame & borders, to exit you can simply right click in the video area>Exit. Personally I would like an option to disable AUD SUB and GPU options as the first two require two clicks to access options anyhow, and GPU has no clickable options at all, to keep it free of clutter as much as possible. I also think if you are showing GPU it needs to be same colour as other text, not orange, really bad colour clash with grey.

DXVA can save power, if you have a damaged file, better to disable it for these.

Is this possible?

Player view default to compact mode (2), seekbar default to check (Ctrl+1) and minimize, maximize and exit at the right corner... like the image below

or this ---> http://archangelx2.deviantart.com/ar...-v-1-200263705

Not sure how they'd do that ney, wouldn't it overlap the video? I think they could put an exit button on the control bar. How about there is an option for a minimal control bar, and an advanced, or just allow us to select which buttons we want with tick boxes in options?

IMHO it's better to use libpng... I know it's one less lib in MPC-HC and IIRC ~100kb less(in binary), but output PNG's compression is way worse ;/ I may be wrong by the way

Mute button doesn't work when bitstreaming, same deal in HC, internal or LAV.

Why is it every player of this sort requires DirectX 9.0c update? Aren't it already included inside Windows 7 and Windows 8? Do Newer Direct X not compatible with previous version? And can we not get rid of this dependencies?
