As long as it is on topic you don't need my permission.

I hope this is really a rip from a DVD you own and not some piece of corrupted garbage you downloaded somewhere. What is the title and region of the DVD?

DVD with VC1 and inside of .ts ? i would say rather Blu-Ray was the Source or maybe a transcode from something into VC1 and .ts maybe to play it back on the Xbox 360 or Ps3, the sporadic artifacts in the DGVC1Dec output could be transfer errors i guess (or failed decryption).

Mariah Carey; The Advantures Of Mimi. Region 1.
BTW i've been uploading a raw vc1 cut directly by eac3to (160MB); i'll add it here when finished.(roughly half an hour is left)

Original vc1 was extracted by eac3to and recut and remuxed to ts by TSMuxer.
Edit: btw i gave it a go with the original vc1; nothing has changed.
You will get a new eac3to cut as soon as possible.

OK, but what method do you suggest to cut this m2ts?
1) Cut and remux directly to m2ts by tsmuxer or tsremux.
2) Demux with eac3to and cut/remux to m2ts by tsmuxer.
3) Or?

try todo as less as possible with as few as possible different developer tools, also try to maintain the .m2ts and not remux into .ts
1) seems better 2 are to much steps something could go wrong (and neuron is not here to debug your production chain) not sure which of both takes the bitstream into account while cutting (tsremux, tsmuxer) i guess both don't and cut straight @ the point user requests it (initially that isn't bad as a good splitter->decoder combination should jump to the next i-frame). DGVC1Dec does it as you see but other combination's don't like this created .ts much and crash while trying to decode everything

@rica

Cut the source m2ts directly. One option is DGSplit.

Or you can load the source m2ts in DGVC1IndexNV, set a range, do Save project and demux video. Then upload the demuxed vc1.

I prefer the first option.

I'd still like the sample, but Nvidia thinks they probably have a bug in the calculation of deblocking filter coefficients and hope to give me a fix very soon.

AppName: mplayerc.exe AppVer: 1.1.906.0 ModName: wmvdecod.dll
ModVer: 11.0.5721.5145 Offset: 000361ad

also this one crashes immediately (i slowly wonder if it is a Haali Splitter bug) why should Microsoft not support their own stream ?

Give it a go with MPC-HC. Default decoder is WMVideo decoder DMO and renderer is EVR Custom.
