Best software for watching TV?

My card's included software is rubbish and Dscaler doesn't seem to be working. Are there any other programs that will make good use of my card? It's a SAA7134.

I think DSCALER is the most optimal software for watching TV on your computer with SAA an BT based TV-cards.

It provides advanced deinterlacing technics as well as denoising and other filters.

As an addtional feature you may use the videotext or closed captions.

If you like minimalist software (and are not scared of the french) you should try PouchinTV http://pouchinteve.free.fr/PouchinTV_0.3a.rar . It is also the fastest at changing channels this side of a real tv

This is not true. You can configure DSCALER to zero switching time, too. Then it is just a matter of you keyboard repetition rate how fast the channels are zapped.

btw.: that program vanishes after pressing OK or anuller.

I didn't know that about dscaler, I'll try that. As for pouchintv, it works for me at home (where I have a Hauppauge HVR-1100) but it exits on my laptop (because I don't have any DVB-T receiver, or Tuner/recepteur TNT as it calls them).

It's not free. Plus I can't download it.

Dscaler doesn't work properly with my card. It can't find any channels, it only shows the last one that worked with the included software.
