Deshaker: Stabilization vs. Zoom

I’ve been playing around with Deshaker to stabilize videos. I’ve been comparing Deshaker with stabilizers from programs like vReveal in order to figure out which one could handle the most amount of motion with the least amount of zooming. At the moment I have been trying to discover a good stabilize to zoom ratio that I could apply to videos that weren’t recorded with a tripod in mind but aren’t in need of extreme stabilizing. I went through John Meyer’s guide on Deshaker, however, I wasn’t satisfied with the settings as there were times when the zoom was heavily applied to certain scenes. Does anyone have advice on what the settings for the second pass should be in order to hit that sweet spot between stabilizing and minimal zooming?
