How to save streaming video

Is there a program that will allow me to save streaming video formats such as .asf and .asx?

Hmm am i using this right?

Ok i tried the asfrecorder. But it's not working. Here's what i did, i open it up, i register asx file type. I double click on the asx file and asfrecorder opens up and loads the file. Then i see a message on the bottom right saying reply:200-ok and that's it. It just stays there. I can't preview, play or do anything because everything is grayed out, and it didn't ask me where to save the file. Am i doin something wrong?

When I last checked, development on ASF-recorder had been given up. I believe it's a rapidly ageing software that works with less and less streams - if content-providers are smart enough to use some precaution...

ATM I'm thoroughly enjoying the Banshee - a fantastic music player/ripper for Linux. Give it a whirl!

Forget it I figured it Out Thanks

Haha, i did it a different way but it worked. In case you wanna know how i did it I used Streambox VCR to play the .asx file. Then Streambox gave me the links for the vids and I d/l the vids with a download manager like DAP. Thanks for the help anyways.
