capturing vhs then converting to dvd using videostudio 6
hi all
can anyone point me in the right direction with this one please. after capturing vhs using video studio 6 i seem to be getting a strobe effect on any movement. the quality of the dvd is good apart from the strobe effect, does anyone know what i`m doing wrong ??? i am using the VIDEO CAPTURE FILTER and the video format is YUY2, does this need changing. should anyone be kind enough to answer please make your replies idiot proof, this is all new to me. thanks al |

The strobe effect at movement can be caused by wrong field order. If it is set to "upper field first" then change to "lower field first" or the other way around. I don't use videostudio but somewhere in the settings this should be able to be changed.
Another option is to change the field order flag in your mpg file by another program like ReStream http://shh.dvdboard.de/ Change the "top field first" option and save to a new file.
