TechSmith Screen Capture Codec as intermediate codec
As far as I know, the TechSmith Screen Capture Codec (tscc) is a lossless codec. Could it be used as an intermediate codec? I did some testing with VirtualDub, and tscc results in smaller output file sizes than for instance the Lagarith lossless codec. I am aware that tscc is a screen capture codec, but could that cause any problems? Full compression mode and smart rendering in VirtualDub works perfectly. However, smartrendering in Sony Vegas 10 has caused some weird results, but that might be caused by Vegas and not the codec itself: http://imgur.com/a/J1hRb.

Perhaps better now, but a few years ago decoder produced black frames when seeking in Avisynth, and from a sample supplied in this thread:- http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=170332
there were (from memory) about 800 frames between keyframes. Would suggest avoid as intermediate codec, final output only. EDIT: See from about post 24 in above linked thread. EDIT: Here a sample from above 2014 thread, perhaps codecs have improved since then:- http://www.mediafire.com/file/9vxf95...out+cursor.avi
