Downgrading FPS on .AVI with GKnot

Hi, following this thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=138323

I have problem when encoding a .AVI with GKnot, I only want to downgrade the FPS and keep the same file size, resolution, etc. My problem is everytime I encode it, the file is larger than the original. I don't know what to do...

Is there any particular reason you want to remove frames and make your AVI play jerky?

Size is a function of the bitrate. Do you have the log for any of these failed encodes?

The framerate is just a field in the header of the AVI file. It can be changed without re-encoding. Of course the filesize will not change at all...
