What is the best program for raw AVI?
I have a new dazzle card and they claim that the only way to capture video off of my DV camera is Raw AVI. Once I have it off thier program sucks to convert it to MPEG and I can not get it to convert to compressed AVI.
If someone can tell me which program and version I can convert it to MPEG1 or DIVX I would be so happy. Once I know the program I will do the research and get it working. Thanks for all of your help! CNUKE

I will try this, but I have used VirtualDub. When I do it stated the the format is unrecognized. I can play it in media player, but a 45 min file is 10 gb.
I will let you know and thanks

It's probably DV type-1. You can open it in VirtualDub using AviSynth and its DirectShowSource command.
For the Audio extract a WAV file using your Dazzle software. You can mux and compress it later in VirtualDub. bb |
