A good encoder for corrupted/bad frames files
Hi! Thanks for help!
I may have an "obsolete" way to edit videos, but I'm still using Virtualdub anytime I can.. Unfortunately it manages really bad the unperfect files, it interrupts, avoiding his use completely. After event of digital TV we often manage recorded videos from digital receivers, which often contain "unpure" datas. We need a way to edit and convert those files, any ideas? I've a quite huge .ts file in 1080i format, I tried to correct it with videoredo but it fails, any other tempt to manually delete bad frames may create audio desync. Any other ecoder that behave like a player.. show artifacts and keep going without desincronize audio, does exist or we still live like in early 2000? Thank you a lot!! |

I'm not sure that you are going to get any replies on this thread.
I think that maybe what you want is a DECODER that hides bad frames (just plays the last good frame), an encoder will just try to encode whatever it is given. Alternatively you could edit the bad frame in eg Avisynth, replace a bad frame with frame before or after, or interpolate some missing frames. (audio need not be touched). thank you for kind answer, I checked the script but honestly it takes too much time to correct the video manually.
Anything around which can do the job automatically? players do that wonderfully, for example media player classic, we just need a decoder that works in such way for re-encode later frames |

You could try PotPlayer, is quite resilient to corruption, not sure though how well it hides errors, but it does play clips
that other players just fail on, also has video record mode (set audio mid level record, and best record uncompressed YV12 or eg HuffYUV / UtVideo). EDIT: Switch off ALL processing/resizing/deinterlacing etc. EDIT: See here:- http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...97#post1769997

TSDoctor supports most file formats which are used by TV capture devices. Here are some of them:
Kathrein (.trp) Sony (.mt2s) TechniSat (.ts4) Ali (.dvi) Topfield(.rec) It's a long list... Cheers manolito Last edited by manolito; 1st July 2016 at 12:27. |
