[mov]wmv3[/mov]>[wmv]wmv3[/wmv] transcoding

have a very odd subj
I had some wmv files and desided to cut/join its
All was occuring on Mac OS X and I use quicktime&flip4mac tools for it.
I joined/splitted this files to mov (wmv stream in mov container, without recompressing)
So dooe quicktime player

question:
how transcode wmv stream to back in wmv/asf container, without recompressing?

Is it really?
