How to remove region code ??

I hope this is the right forum. I have a DVD region code 1 (not copy protected) and I'd like to make it region free. What's the easist way to do it ? I'd prefer if I didn't have to decrypt and re-author it.

TIA

I'm going to say open each IFO file in IFOedit and press "Region Free" button and save. But you may have some problems down the road with encrypted files. Now, why don't you want to decrypt?

Edit: My bad. you mentioned it was not copy protected. It doesn't matter if your ripper was set to decrypt anyway. It'll just rip. You can't decrypt what's not encrypted.

Thanks for your reply.

What do you mean by "problems down the road with encrypted files."
If the DVD is not copy-protected then it means the files are not encrypted, right ? So either way I shouldn't have any porblems ?

The reason I don't want to decrypt is because then I will have to re-author and that's just extra work.

When I wrote that and posted my reply, I reread your post again. I had a misunderstanding and wrote my Edit reply afterwards.

OK, so I should just open each IFO file in IFOedit and press "Region Free" button and save, in other words there is no need to rip, right ?

That's correct. If you must know more about "Region Free" in IFOedit. Here's a guide for you.
