DivX Plus Web Player 2.0 [Beta] MKV/H.264/AAC/Subtitles!

http://labs.divx.com/node/14711.

I find it very promising as it supports MKV,H.264,AAC and even Subtitles.
The online HD video played in new Divx player had descent quality. It was 720p x264 at pretty good settings.

Glad you're enjoying it!

Other interesting points to note are that the AAC support includes 5.1 surround and there's also new support for seeking beyond the cache making for a more streaming-like experience while still only requiring a standard HTTP 1.1 server. We of course keep the high performance windowed and full screen rendering as well as the option to save fully cached files to disk.

If you find any bugs let us know either here or via the DivX Plus Web Player Beta forum.

Whoever encoded the video at the bottom, may I note that it might be best to encode promotional videos with a higher quality preset than --preset medium if possible

Beta: DivX Plus Web Player 2.1, DivX HiQ and HTML5 Support

Hi Guys,

We're looking for testers for the new features we're introducing with our DivX Plus Web Player, namely, new container support (MP4/MOV), HTML5 video tag support, DXVA (hardware accelerated decoding), and DivX HiQ: a method for selecting DivX Plus Web Player to watch videos on popular websites (e.g. YouTube, DailyMotion, Vimeo...).

If you're interested in helping out, we have information here:
http://labs.divx.com/node/14711

Again, this is a beta, but any feedback you guys have would be helpful!

Thanks,

--Porfitron

DivX HiQ Beta 2 - Now on Mac, bug fixes, and more sites...

In addition to improving the Windows build, we've now released a DMG for Mac users, along with some significant bug fixes and a few more sites where you can try it out.

Full details are here:
http://labs.divx.com/node/14711

And in case you're still not sure what DivX HiQ is, the Xtranormal Bears have a pretty good explanation here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfIP0kcQgiM

We'll appreciate any feedback, as we're trying to squeeze in any fixes in this last run for a final release.

Thanks!

Will DivX web player (DivX HiQ) support Maxthon 2 browser? I can't make it to work now. Only IE8 works.
