Can someone point me in the right direction?

I am new to the world of video. I want to record a video from my VCR ( I have ATI All in WOnder) and make a VCD, I have tried so many different things with no luck. Is there a good place for me to go to get the background info I need to do this?

Thanks for your help.

For capturing, you might also want to take a look at the vcdhelp.com guides.
Beware, though: Captured (noisy) analogue video is always a challenge for the mpeg encoder ... many people find they have to increase the bitrate (and make XVCDs).

Im in your same boat....

Hey Rickster,

Let me know if you make any headway in recording your Video tapes to VCD. Im new to all this , and it appears we're trying to accomplish the same thing. I also have an all in wonder card, and am trying to capture some videos ive made and transfer them to a cd which can then be played on my DVD player. If you come up with a working way of doing this , please let me know.. ill do the same....

Bob
