Welcome. One thing I can suggest also, is to add -down16 to the command line if you want to save some space and you don't mind (or you can't hear) the quality loss of the 24 bit to 16 bit conversion. That's of course in case the source TrueHD track is 24 bit and not already 16 bit.
As already saint-francis pointed out, you need SUPread to convert HD DVD .sup to Blu-ray .sup, without any OCR. That's because subtitles in these two media are little different. Last edited by nautilus7; 4th September 2008 at 10:05. |

Things are coming slowly to my mind...
Since version 2.59 eac3to can also convert HD DVD TrueHD tracks to Blu-ray style TrueHD tracks with AC3 track interleaved. So there's no need to convert to pcm anymore. Except you don't have a TrueHD decoder. |

In my case I also have to convert TrueHD to PCM for tsMuxeR to create a correct Blu-Ray structure split into 4gig chunks to be played in AVCHD format on HDD on PS3. As you know tsMuxeR does not do proper TrueHD muxing in blu-ray structure and PCM is a good workaround. Thanks. |

Thanks for that. This is actually me who posted that and made those tests. Currently there is no solution to mux TrueHD in Blu-Ray structure split in 4 gig chunks due to tsMuxeR problems. TsRemux does work with TrueHD but cannot split the file in 4 gig chunks which is necessary for fat32 disks on PS3 in AVCHD format. |

----- Can you not burn to a DVD-DL in UDF 2.5 ? Or split before muxing i.e. "split manually" ? |

Yes you can burn to a DVD-DL in UDF 2.5 and it works. But the idea is to take one big (20-30gig) m2ts file open it with a muxer select the required tracks and generate a Blu-Ray structure with one playlist on fat32 (4gig chunks) convert the Blu-Ray structure to AVCHD and play the complete film from HDD on PS3 without writing a couple of DVD's. This requires alot of disk space but it is better than having alot of DVD's and changing the DVD's a couple of times during playpack of one movie. |

The only drawback is you need your own BD burner. Duppie, do you use AVCHD-ME, or is there something else out there that can produce the same media type... possibly that doesn't cause the slight pause between the 4GB chunks? |

Remuxing Welcome to Dongmakgol Blu-ray to mkv results in async audio.

Remarkably, the WMV decoder is not capable of proper playback of the m2ts, artefacts all over. Ffdshow however, has no problems with the video. A sample can be found at: http://www.sendspace.com/file/71uipv |

Hmm, getting the weirdest error (see below for full output): "The channel modder was started with incorrect parameters." What is up with that? And how do I fix it? :)

eac3to "E:\migrate\devils_rejects\BDMV\*.m2ts" 3: "c:\video\devils.ac3"
Check that. EDIT: Sorry i've misssed the source is DTS-HD and libav doesn't work in this case-corrected. Just install TMT trial and give it a go and compare. Last edited by rica; 5th September 2008 at 21:55. |
