I'm using my server for picture links. I'll wait to see the attachment, but it will be hard to modify XMB to have horizontal navigation (that's why slide/car are available)...
In XMB you can disable all title thumbnails and disable their info and use a custom background. This way you can get something like drelin's menus (XMB). The only thing left from multiAVCHD's XMB menu will be the navigation arrow to play the title (or chapters, if enabled). You need to create your custom background in a way so the navigation arrow fits your image (like the PLAY button in the next picture). Quote:

Sorry for these updates today, but they were kind of important...
The latest is related to re-author mode: In rare occasions playlists with multi-angle clips / sub-paths were not processed correctly, leaving some files out of the compilation. It should be okay now. |

Build 728:
[x] Do not show duration (SLI/CAR) option in Menu Tab - video duration stamp won't be displayed in title thumbnails [x] Do not create title thumbnails option in XMB tab is now applied to XMB, Slide and Carousel menu styles. [x] Do not show title names option in XMB tab is now applied to XMB, Slide and Carousel menu styles. XMB main title offset changed to Main title offset in XMB sub-tab in Menu tab. Vertical offset is now applied to Slide and Carousel menu styles, too. These options allow users to create semi-custom menu outlook using custom background with Slide and Carousel menu styles, too. Until now it was possible only for XMB menu. Dean Last edited by deank; 16th January 2010 at 16:56. |

I'll try to make verticall offset for chapter thumbnails to work for Slide and Carousel, too, so the user can move them up and down on the screen - like in your case to have title thumbs at the bottom and chapter thumbs at the top. Last edited by deank; 16th January 2010 at 17:09. |

I will take a look at the newest version this weekend, hopefully, if I can get some free time. ( weekends never have enough time for hobbies )
Looks like the vertical offset could be good for the type of custom menu picture I mentioned previously ( which I see my attachment was approved ). I do prefer the thumbnail size/style of the XMB menu, but will take a look at slide and carousel ones as well. I have all the older James Bond movies ( 20+ ) that I recorded off my Comcast HD DVR from Encore HD, 1080i, 29.97fps that I am hoping to start backing up to BD-R. I haven't decided if I am going to reencode to BD-5 size and convert them to 1080P, 23.976fps, or leave them as is ( approx. 11 - 13 GB per movie ). Perhaps I will try them as is, but I am not sure how the interlaced TV broadcast will turn out, and I may only get 1 to 2 movies per BD-R, verse 4 if I reencode to closer to BD-5 size. But with your program, I am much closer to getting started on this project than I have been! |

Hi deank,
very nice program, and a newbee with it, but it seems quite powerful... Just one question: In bluray reauthor mode, is there any way to quickly remove unwanted audio streams without having to do it separately in each mt2s? (UP spanish edition has the movie splitted in multiple m2ts files and it takes forever to remove them). Greetings |

In re-author mode you're editing the playlists, not the individual m2ts files, but still - there is no way to remove audio faster than this... And I'd suggest to use [blank] audio button, instead of removing them.

Blu-ray does not come in non standard resolutions like the one you quoted, so there is nothing to discuss. If it is a non-compliant resolution-wise file, then - yes, you have nothing to worry about (although other *slower* profiles may produce different quality). I'm using 'turbo' for 99% of my tests and encodes and the quality is good.

According with new features for chapters thumbnails (Stack chapter thumbs horizontally) in build 728, I ask a question :
With chapters thumbnails creation, a label "Chapter selection (Title 1/1)" is created. Any way to no show this label line (replace by blank label) ? |

It's been always possible not to use the lables if you use a language file (different from English (original)). There are few lines in it for XMB, just edit them:
Code:
# # XMB menu labels # XMB;0;Video;Video: XMB;0;Audio;Audio: XMB;0;Subs;Subtitles: XMB;0;Title;Title XMB;0;ChapS;Chapter selection XMB;0;Dur;Duration: XMB;0;Track;track XMB;0;Trax;tracks XMB;0;Hour;h XMB;0;Min;m XMB;0;Sec;s # # Last edited by deank; 18th January 2010 at 19:00. |

Thank for the answer, I understand now why with my several tests this label was not removed correctly.
Each time I've edited the language file with remove "chapter selection" in "XMB;0;Chaps;Chapter selection" line the label appear yet and yet I wait the next major release for this and for others features Thank a lot. |

Hello Dean,
I am hoping you can help with a little problem. I am compiling a project with 37 titles and can not see a preview in the properties window from main media screen. Prior to updating, I could see the preview with no problem. I need this as I want to be able to select which frame to select as the "poster" for the thumbnail for each title. Would you know what could be causing this? |

I didn't change anything with the preview. It depends on your configuration of avisynth, haali and ffdshow. Try to re-install haali with mpeg-ts and mpeg-ps options enabled.
Make sure to use these versions: download links |

I just realised that it is dependant on AVIsynth to load the correct filters. I moved my plugins and that's what was causing the problem. I moved them back and all is good now. |

A piece of good news
I managed to get the motion menu working in Nero, TMT and Playstation3, which would probably mean that it will work elsewhere. As a bonus with the animated menu come a lot of new things like options for: * sub-menu pages for audio / subtitle selection * scrolling titles via pages with title-thumbs menu (useful for compilations with more than 15 titles where you need to browse fast to the desired title menu) * navigation arrows are replaced by semi-transparent box, which covers the button area * unlimited number of chapter thumbnails (or at least for 48 chapter thumbs in the RC build) Dean |
