MeGUI MP4 Mux ERROR

I’m having a problem with MeGUI\Tools\Muxer\Mp4 Muxer, which is nothing more then a GUI Front End for MP4Box.exe located in the MeGUI\Tools Directory, in my opinion.

Yamb pathed to the MeGUI\Tools\mp4box\MP4Box.exe works just fine; BUT, I use a 113% DPI (Visual Problem) and YAMB’s GUI Interface will not browse, so I use “My MP4Box GUI”.

The Error when loading MeGUI\Tools\Muxer\Mp4 Muxer to Load is:
“Error line: Error - 2 input names specified, please check usage
Standard output stream: Error - 2 input names specified, please check usage
Standard error stream.”

This Error makes NO Sense as MeGUI is a Front End for MP4Box.exe.

I would not mind getting rid of YAMB and My MP4Box GUI if MeGUI can do the job.

This is a x264_ndaac-he.mkv to h264_ ndaac-he.mp4 finalizing with a CMD\ffmpeg.exe to h264_ ndaac-he.flv process using ffmpeg.

It’s not that I expect anything more or less but I’m clueless why I get this error in MeGUI when other MP4Box Front Ends Work?

Why mux from a Matroska file? Mux the encoded files directly to MP4 (e.g., somex264encodefile.mp4 and somendaacencencodedfile.m4a -> somefile.mp4). See if you still have the problem. Also, continuing on that theme, why not use ffmpeg to mux directly to flv?

Why Why - Most my Flics are in MKV or Xvid_ogg.OGM.

MeGUI HD Streams Extractor DeMUX the H264/AAC. MKV to: "T1_Video - .h264" and "T2_Audio - 2.0 channels.aac" but will give the above error MuXing these tracks to MP4.

It's not that I can't use an alternative it's that the MeGUI Front End is suppose to do it so why not use it; OR, am I missing something here ;o)

MP4 Muxer requires raw streams.
muxing .264 or .h264 and aac streams work as usual.

Which I've done and it seems I'm not the only one having this issue MuXing MP4 Raw Streams that where initially Encoded with MeGUI itself.

It just seems the MeGUI Front End is messing up the MP4Box.exe Command Line for some reason. It's not that I really care as there are other alternatives but would seem to be a relatively simple FIX if MP4Box_GUI and YAMB can do it.

Shark: WOW! I did not know you where the Author of MeGUI - Man it has to be one of the Greatest CMD Interfaces for Video Encoding I know off. I am one of the few that found MPG4C32.DLL v310.2954 hidden on the Win98 Gold Edition Disc - Been encoding Video & MPeg4 for a long time ;o)

I've always found Doom9 to be the BEST PC Video Site on the WEB and never really had issues to join the Forum but this one caught my attention: I just can't understand or find the solution for the Error "2 input names specified, please check usage Standard error stream.” It may be a very simple thing I just don't see.

By the way, I'm running Win7 32 Ultimate on an old Gigabyte Slot A GA-7N400 Pro2(rev2) with a Barton 32XP running at 2.2Ghz and 1G Dual 430 DDR, with a Dozen 80G Maxtors - if that means anything - Yeh - One day I'll Upgrade my Hardware but believe it or not it still gets me by - Idling at 360 to 400Mb Resources - LOL

I would also love to see a Proportional Re-Size in MeGUI - but have no clue if x264 supports this.

I issued my hardware hoping some one would take pity and DONATE - LOL

I have since starting this thread with Identical ERROR: I Over-Wrote x264 v1649 - which MeGUI Patched UpDates too) with v1732 rather then expelling the Audio to Raw ACC - now made it MP4 and still ended up with the SAME ERROR as per LOG when MuXing to MP4 (That is using MP4Box.exe):

NOTE ERROR is IDENTICAL " Standard output stream: Error - 2 input names specified, please check usage" with Raw ACC or MP4 Audio - Got to be something SIMPLE.

Hate to give my Encoding Secrets Away but no one would understand if they didn't already know - Obviously I building a Flash h264_aac.mp4 followed by a ffmepg.exe CMD Prompt " ffmpeg -i h264_aac.mp4 -vcodec copy -acodec copy h264_aac.flv " Command ;o)

OK - Hate to get into TE4XP as an other alternate Solution.

Got to Love Ghost v8.0 Enterprise - All DOS Off-Course ;o)

Where is that in MeGUI Installed Directory- Don't see Settings in the Installed Directory - MeGUI Preferences but what and how do I handle the "Directory ?" that I can't see ?

Yes MeGUI has an "Options\Settings" What do you want me to do with it ?

Kurt : That Worked - No problems MuXing H264 to MP4 with either Raw AAC or mp4 audio now - Thanks - I knew it had to be something Simple which I was over looking. I had the "Temporary Directory for the MP4 Muxer" assigned to a "C: Temp Files" folder. So did Disabled the Assignment and now MeGUI is behaving. I guess for some MP4Box thinks the Cashing is 2 files and can't distinguish the difference - Thanks Man ;o)

if you must use a temp folder (for speed purpose) use one with no spaces...

insted of:
Quote:
C:\TEMP Files
use:
Quote:
C:\TEMP_Files
or use quotes:
Quote:
"C:\TEMP Files"

Thanks for the report. I have fixed it locally and it will be included in the next build.

There has been an old workaround in place for a bug in mp4muxer. This bug in mp4muxer seems to be resolved and therefore the workaround is causing problems if there are spaces in the first directory after the root directory (e.g. "c:\temp files" is not working but "c:\temp\temp files" is working)
