Main problem is I don't have NVidia card. BTW is there any trial version?

Quote:
just wondered if that could be incorporated into ripbot in a similar fashion as im back to PSP encoding and want to convert my interlaced HD caps
Why don't you use internal deinterlacer (Yadif). You won't see difference on PSP.

ah yeah that is a problem i dont think there is a trial, although i cant be 100% sure. although i would gladly pay for your copy if you did ever want it.

oh yep i do use yadif and your right, the PSP is hardly going to show up any differences in quality. I do think it speeds things up considerably though as the de interlacing is all done on the GPU and frees up the CPU. When your converting the 2 hour 50fps england game from ITV HD, the extra 10fps makes a difference!

although i must confess i have not done full like for like testing in megui hardware vs ripbot software, maybe i should....

Here you go. I hope this sheds some light, because I am not too sure what an "AviStream Read Error" is.

This would be interesting In theory it should be faster but let's wait for real results. Make sure you use the same x264 settings.

Looking back I see that there is some discussion as to which version of FFDSHOW we should be using. Has this been resolved? I'm now using ffdshow_rev2992_20090609_clsid and wonder if that is a good idea.

What would be the best way to trim it down? Currently it is 5GB.

just did a quick test in megui, one using hardware deinterlacing and one using yadif. both used exactly the same script and settings, apart from deinterlacing method. a 10 min clip of the tennis. software was 34.88 FPS and hardware was 55.49 FPS...

will do ripbot specific tests and see if its that great as well, in theory should be

Atak,

Noticed a new Bug with v1.14.1, Sunshine BR UK would reach the end of the extraction process and delete the video.mkv, v1.13.3 completes fine.

Most likely related to the latest version of eac3to included, just FYI really

Thanks again for the awsome GUI

By the way for other Win7 users info this tool replaces the need to manually edit the registry to fix the VC1 FFDSHOW issue (I know you are already aware of this Atak)

Runtime Error!

this is my first post as up to the last few days i have used your software w/o a problem since it was first developed. so thank you for taking your time to develop such an outstanding and stable piece of software. easy to use and VERY useful.

about a week ago, out of the blue, i began receiving the following error. tried reverting back to an older version of your software and even updated to v1.14.1 and it still occurs.

i googled the error, and searched this thread but could not find any answer. any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

Hi Atak,

I have an trouble with version 1.14.1, 1.13.3 and 1.13.1. I have installed right now ffdshow clsid 2992, avisynth 2.5.8.

i convert an mkv HD 1080P, already 23.98, 1980x8xx and audio is out of sync on preview, and same when project is done. when i change "xx copy stream" for 256kbps the max available is the same. The time movie is 2 sec difference between the video and audio.

The mkv source is sync. Can you help me with this case please? Thanks for you time!

Job1.avs
Code:
#MT

#VideoSource

video=DirectShowSource("D:\--= Complete =--\Fight.Club.BluRay.x264\fightclub-1080p.mkv",audio=false).ConvertToYV12()

#Deinterlace

#Decimate

#Crop

#Resize
video=Spline36Resize(video,1920,800).Sharpen(0.2).AddBorders(0,140,0,140)

#Colors

#Denoise

#Subtitles

#AudioSource
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files\Ripbot264\tools\AviSynth plugins\NicAudio\NicAudio.dll")
audio=NicAC3Source("H:\temp\RipBot264temp\job1\audio.1.ac3")
audio=ResampleAudio(audio,48000)
#DownMix

#Delay
audio=DelayAudio(audio,0)

#Tempo

#Normalize

#AudioDub
audio=ConvertAudioTo16bit(audio)
AudioDub(video,audio)

#Triming

#AVSameLength
Trim(0,200167)

#ColorSpace
getframe.avs

Code:
DirectShowSource("D:\--= Complete =--\Fight.Club.BluRay.x264\fightclub-1080p.mkv",audio=false).ConvertToYV12()
ConvertToRGB32.ImageWriter("H:\temp\RipBot264temp\job1\", 72830, 72830, "bmp").Trim(72830,-1)

You need very fast cpu in order to have preview in sync for fullHD.
At the moment I can suggest this:
1) Install ffdshow 2975 and enable ffmpeg-mt (multithreaded decoder) decoder for h.264
2) Check audio sync in preview without modifing anything (Resize OFF!)
3) if delay is constant adjust manually audio delay in gui (last page)

If think this is because yadif is single threaded. x264 probably waits longer for data. Is CPU utilization the same in both cases?

What does eac3to log say?

@Luger9mm
I cannot see your screenshot so I can only suggest to reinstall AviSynth , FFDshow 2975 (recommended) and Haali Media Splitter.

i think i know why 8ternity's audio is out of sync and the same is happening to me, when i render out a 23.98 movie and tell ripbot to not change the framerate, it is still converting to 29.97, hence to movie is playing too fast and the audio gets further and further out of sync..

also another question, what are the requirements for "xxCopy Stream" to appear? I've noticed it doesnt always show up since moving to 1.14.1.

Audio must be supported by container. mp4 allows only .aac. AVCHD - AC3 , DTS , LPCM (.wav). MKV supports alot more - OGG , AAC , AC3 and so on.

I was right. I took Canon hf100 footage , set yadif deintrlacer -> 50 fps , Size -> PSP , PSP profile
without AviSynth MT i had 33.42 fps , with MT i got 46.75 fps
