The MPC handles the seemingly corresponding nero encoder option -ignorelength internally for decoding(playing).
I also experienced a similar bug(pending) when using avs2wav on 44.1k(6ch) sources. Using last.SSRC(48000).SSRC(44100) was my temporary fix. Also redirecting the bepipe stdout to a wav may solve the issue : bepipe --script "import(^xx.avs^)" > xxx.wav

I searched this thread for an answer but couldn't find one.
Can anyone explain to me why this codec sounds really good through windows (Foobar, Media Player Classic) yet when I try to play the same file on my OSX box (iTunes, Quicktime) or on my iPod it sounds awful? I encoded a few wav's using the '-q 0.2' setting and I was amazed at the quality on my windows box but as soon as I tried the file on the iPod, iTunes etc it sounds like a really poorly encoded track. Cheers. |

Indeed, neither player supports the SBR element of an AAC-HE stream...
Shame really... I would have thought in this day-and-age, support for SBR would be a basic option. Cheers

Without a doubt, with those price range, the user-requirments of the he-vbr, hrtf,,, and even the spdif-out(2~6~ch) are feasible.
Maybe the 'Apple-AAC' only is regarded as the 'true(==authorized==useful ) AAC' to some interest group?
